Canadian Currency Counting Machines

A Canadian currency-counting machine is a machine that counts money—either stacks of Canadian banknotes or loose collections of coins. Counters can be either all mechanical or also use electronic components. The machines usually have a total count of all money, or count of specific batch sizes for wrapping and storage.

Canadian Currency counters are commonly used in vending machines to determine what amount of money has been deposited by customers.

There are some more modern automated teller machines which will now allow for cash to be deposited into the machine with out envelopes, since they will be able to identify which bills have been inserted instead of just how many. The user is given the chance to review the automatic counter's idea of the quantity and kinds of the inserted banknotes before the deposit is complete.
